OUTLINE OF ASSISTANCE PACKAGE
PLEASE NOTE:
Liverpool Plains Shire Council is principally interested in job creation/ short to medium term economic development. The assistance outlined below should be regarded as indicative only and will depend on the potential of your business to deliver new opportunities to the Shire area. Assistance packages are prepared on an individual basis and may exceed or be less than those outlined below.

1. Council Rates
Council is prepared to offer a rate holiday for the first three years of operation to assist the company to establish itself in the market. Business rates on a $12,000 land value amount to $1,400 p.a. giving a total saving over three years of $4,200.
2. Fully Serviced Industrial and Residential Land
Council has fully serviced land available within its industrial estate situated some 2kms from the town centre. A plan of the estate is located on this site.
3. Discounted Water and Sewer Charges
A discount of 25% of water usage charges is offered for a period of 3 years. The amount of this saving would depend on total water consumption during the period.
4. Waiving of Council Building and Development Application Fees
Council will waive its charges and fees in relation to the development. This does not include fees collected on behalf of other Governments.
5. Negotiate Electricity Contracts and Infrastructure
Council's General Manager was previously employed at a senior level in the electricity industry and has valuable contacts that can assist in delivering highly competitive electricity prices.
6. Waiving of Section 94 Fees
Council will waive any applicable Section 94 fees.
7. Fast Tracking of Development Application
Senior staff will ensure that the Development Application will be processed as quickly as possible with minimal delay.
8. Assist in Funding Submissions
Council's senior staff members are experienced in submitting successful applications for funding from government agencies and departments and would be pleased to assist your organisation if required.
9. Recruitment of Staff
Senior officers would be pleased to undertake any recruiting of staff for the project, subject to your experience and skills requirements. Local knowledge of competent potential employees would assist your organisation in recruiting the best local people possible.
10. Discounted Trade Waste
Council will discount the cost of trade waste disposal by 25% over a 3 year period.
11. Lobbying Politicians
Council has a very good relationship with its local State Member (currently George Souris) and Federal Member (currently John Anderson - Deputy Prime Minister) and would be pleased to use its influence wherever possible to ensure your company achieves its objectives.
